Hello there, everybody!

I've recently been reviving my love for a series called Albert the Fifth Musketeer (Albert is in my userpic), which was just as important to my childhood as Madeline was. When a friend of mine saw an entry I'd made on my LJ about both series, she commented I should write a fanfiction crossing the two series together.

So, I did! Here it is!

Title: A Different Time
Authoress: [info]btamamura
Series: Madeline / Albert the Fifth Musketeer
Characters: Madeline, Miss Clavel, Genevieve, the other 11 girls / Albert, D'Artagnan, Athos, Porthos, Aramis, Captain de Treville, Gertrude, King Louis XIII, Cardinal Richelieu, Milady de Winter
Rating: Good for everyone
Warnings: One chapter contains a sentence uttered with what may be a curse word, but it had been said in the series.
Summary: After Genevieve unearths a time capsule, Madeline finds herself in a new time...the time of the Musketeers.
Disclaimer: I do not own Madeline, Albert the Fifth Musketeer or the characters.

This is a multi-chapter fic, so I'll link you to where I'd posted it on fanfiction.net...

Please leave a review either on that site or here.

I am also working on a sequel at the moment, so more to look forward to!

Hey there, everyone!

So then, how did Madeline impact your lives? How did you show that? Did you share her adventures with others in your life?

Myself? I brought in the live action movie to Year 9 French class and we watched on the last day of the term, while having fish and chips, chocolate mousse and eclairs. (Our teacher laughed when she heard Helene in the kitchen earlier in the movie, and explained she had actually uttered a curse word!!)

I was always reading the books around my Dad's cousins, so when they had girls, they joked that they named them after Madeline's friends (Chloe, Genevieve).

I took my Madeline's Favourite Songs cassette to school and my class listened to it when I was in grade 5, the next year I danced to I'm Madeline in the talent show (got second place!), though I originally planned on dancing to Holidays.

My nickname was Madeline because I was a small redhead, smallest in my class...in my year level!

I once attended a dress-up party dressed as Madeline, and my friend's mum was a nun, so everyone joked she was Miss Clavel.

We had a book festival, and we'd had to dress-up as book characters, and who else did I dress up as but Madeline herself!

What about all of you?

Hey there, minna-san!

Last night, I found some vids on youtube of Madeline songs in Japanese! You can find them under this link:

Most of the voices are unknown at the moment, but I can tell you two of them...

Madeline is voiced by Otani Ikue. Other roles she has had include Pikachu from Pokemon, Chopper and child Sanji from One Piece, Zatch in Zatch Bell, plus many more! Otani-san as Madeline is just too adorable! There are times her voice sounds similar to Andrea Libman.

The parrot from the episode Madeline and the Lost Parrot is voiced by Seki Toshihiko. Other roles he has had include Duo from Gundam Wing, Sanzo from Saiyuki, Luva from Angelique and many more.

I am grabbing the vids and hope to have them converted to mp3 and uploaded eventually for those who want them.

Hi again! I just recalled one of the songs from the episode Madeline, and came to realise I actually know all of the lyrics to this one! So, here's Ma Cherie Madeline.
Ma cherie, oh, MadelineCollapse )

I noticed something about this song too. Sing it to the tune of My Darling Clementine, you'll see the similarities. ^_^

More lyrics coming soon!

Hey there, everyone! Here are some more lyrics. This time, the song is Holidays from Madeline's Christmas. I will also include the reprise.

We're Going Home For The HolidaysCollapse )

Here's the reprise

We're Staying In For The HolidaysCollapse )

And there we have it. I will have more lyrics up soon.

Hello, everyone! In order to bring more life to this comm, I'm going to provide Madeline lyrics from the three CDs that had been released over the last twelve years: Madeline's Favourite Songs, Hats Off To Madeline and Sing-along With Madeline. I may also share lyrics to the songs not featured on the CDs if I know them.

Here are the lyrics to I'm Madeline

I'm Madeline, I'm Madeline...Collapse )

And now for my questions...

1) In the episode titled Madeline, there was an extended version of the song. Does anybody know the first couple of lines the other girls sing for the new verse? I could only recognise...

But that is not your favourite girl
Of that you can be sure

I'm not some shrinking violet
Or doormat for your feet
I'm quite the bravest, toughest little girl
You'll ever meet

I'm Madeline, I'm Madeline
I hope you have it straight
I'm Madeline, I'm Madeline
And inside I'm great

(and then the whole "she's Madeline..." moment)

If anybody could understand that, and the words for the rest of the songs in that episode, please please do let me know, I am dying to sing along to them with the right words.

2) I was looking up information concerning the Japanese dub of the animated series, and found out Madeline's first voice actress was Otani Ikue (famously known for her role as Pikachu in Pokemon). Does anybody know where I can find the earlier episodes in Japanese?

Thanks to all of you, I will provide more lyrics later.

EDIT: Figured out the lyrics I was missing!!

"We know some little girls who are
Quite timid and demure"

New member!

What should we call you? Tammy is fine.
How old are you/where are you from?
I'm 23 and I live in Australia.
When did you discover Madeline? My mum turned it on one day when I was only seven years old, and I fell in love at once! Madeline actually helped me become interested in French.
What is your favorite Madeline story, moment, or quote? My fave scene actually has to be from Madeline when the girls are worried about Madeline the morning after she's taken to the hospital. I'm also fond of Madeline's Wedding, one of the later episodes, there are so many hints for Pepito x Madeline in it!

I found an excellent YouTube channel that has all the Madeline songs found in almost every episode made. When I saw this, I immediately thought of this community. Bookmark it to save it when you are down, need a good uplifting, etc.
